Preliminary Rule of Law Coalition Research
Building on recent TMU CSR Institute* zoom sessions exploring the value and feasibility of a global multi-sectoral coalition in support of the rule of law, below please find links to google documents that in a preliminary way have started to:
(1) identify organizations that have issued statements in support of the rule of law and condemning erosions of same (click here).
(2) collect the actual statements of the organizations and (where available) associated information (e.g., signatories) (click here).
(3) draft for discussion a possible "common" basic rule of law statement (click here).
(4) list research that discusses rule of law-related issues (click here).
(5) identify research concerning coalitions (click here).
The above-noted work is preliminary, it is evolving, and it is posted in the spirit of encouraging constructive engagement among diverse stakeholders on ways that the integrity of the rule of law can be optimally protected and furthered. Please email comments and suggestions to: kernaghan.webb@torontomu.ca.
